App Smackdown: Cronometer
Presentation link: App Presentation
Beyond diet, Cronometer lets users track physical activity, weight, body measurements, and even biometrics such as heart rate and blood glucose. It can communicate with a variety of fitness trackers and wearables to automatically enter activity data. The app also includes features such as intermittent fasting, vitamin and supplement tracking, and more. Cronometer appeals to anyone who wants to improve their health because of its extensive data analysis and user-friendly interface, whether they are fitness fanatics, persons managing health concerns, or anyone searching for a better understanding of their nutritional intake.

I love that this app tracks all nutrition facts. I think a lot of times apps like this one focus a lot on solely calorie intake and work towards a goal of losing weight. I like that Cronometer is just as useful to those looking to track proteins, carbs, etc. and increase muscle gain as well.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you break down what this app is about by sections. You did a great job connecting it to personal usage. It can also be useful for PT students or Nutritionists as a way to work with their clients.
ReplyDeleteCronometer sounds like a great app for people who are looking to be healthier or like tracking what they eat. It also is useful for those who don't necessarily care about food, but like tracking steps or heart rate. I could see myself using this app when I'm active.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this would be really helpful for a lot of people. I love that it shows the nutrition in foods because I feel like it could be a really good feature for people with an eating disorder. By showing the nutrition instead of only the calories it may help the person start eating more. I also love that it shows you what to do if you want to focus on a certain thing. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe way you broke down this app made it a lot more digestible and easier to understand. I actually have been looking for an app like this so thank you for the information and suggestion!
